Be Our Hero

imageThis March, which is celebrated nationwide as Red Cross Month, you can be part of a group of local “Heroes” working hard to help the Red Cross continue its services. “Heroes for the American Red Cross” is a grassroots campaign where local business people, school groups, church groups, civic clubs, and individuals pledge to raise $1,000 for their local Red Cross chapter. This year, the Carolina Piedmont Region hopes to raise $300,000 during this campaign to support Red Cross services including disaster relief, assistance for fire victims, emergency military communications, first aid and CPR training and disaster preparedness information for our community. All money raised will support your neighbors in your community.

The $1,000 I am raising will provide…

  • Feed and shelter a family of 4 for 5 nights

  • Deploy an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) for 2 days

  • Provide 8 Red Cross disaster relief workers with travel, meals and shelter for a day

  • Cover the cost of bulk supplies (flashlights, trash bags, bleach, insect repellant, etc.) for 6 families

To become a hero, you can:
